Lemon Meringue Pie

Day 180 Recipe 72
When I slid this pie into the oven, I actually said aloud, "That was a fun pie to make!!" And it was. Making the lemon filling was a little tedious, but making the meringue was really fun! I love whipping egg whites. It always amazes me how you can take that runny liquid out of an egg and whip it up to more than 3 times its size in a matter of minutes. I would like to thank my kitchen aid mixer, for without it, this pie would not have been possible!! :)

Apple turnovers and quick puff pastry

Day 178 Recipe 70 and 71
These were not too hard to do. The quick puff pastry took a lot less effort than the classic recipe. The apple mixture itself was so yummy, just a mixture of apple, sugar and a little lemon juice. I ate the leftover with a spoon!!

Angel Food Cake

Day 171 Recipe 69
I can not even begin to tell you how delicious this cake was. It was so, so good! It was a nice fluffy cake, way better than anything store bought. I was worried because I didn't have any strawberries or anything to put on it, but it was delicious all by itself!! I have already made this 2 more times since!! :)
